Driving west out of Princeville you go downhill to the Hanalei River Bridge. Cross the bridge, turn left and continue down the one lane road about 1 mile to a parking lot on your left. Park here and cross the road to a footbridge that takes you to a trail that curves to the left and leads up to the heiau.
