The trail down to the lake is steep and slippery, so go slowly and watch each step. The lake has its own name, which is Hala aniani. The meaning is unclear, but it does contain a word for "cool and refreshing."

And here is our first mystery. A seemingly large, translucent "orb" is floating just below the palm leaves at the top of the photo.
